Update Your Facebook Settings

Here are some Facebook settings you might want to review and update. These settings were done on an android FB app and are accurate as of  December 11, 2018.

> App > Settings > Phone Number -> remove

> App > Settings > Location > Location History -> Off

> App > Settings > Location > Location Services -> Off

> App > Settings > Privacy > Face Recognition -> No

> App > Settings > Privacy > Privacy Settings > Who can see your friends list? -> Only Me or Custom

> App > Settings > Ads > Ads Preferences > Ad Settings >  > Ads based on data from partners -> Not Allowed

> App > Settings > Ads > Ads Preferences > Ad Settings >  Ads based on your activity on Facebook Company Products that you see elsewhere -> Not Allowed

> App > Settings > Ads > Ads Preferences > Ad Settings >  Ads that include your social actions -> No One

While these changes won't guarantee your privacy when using Facebook, they might give you some peace of mind.
